The pictures I’m showing you today were developed with the help of my robotic agitator. I built it a bit more than a month ago and it helped me develop 36 rolls already. I normally don’t use it to agitate during the development stage, but I needed to try at least once to see what happens. Agitation with the stick doesn’t really work with every developer, so I was prepared for some problems with this method of automation. With some developers there will be uneven development or overdeveloped edges when agitating with the stick. However, there was only very minor edge overdevelopment with Caffenol-CH and it was easily corrected. Other than this I was quite pleased with the results, although Caffenol-CH really isn’t the best recipe for the already grainy enough RPX400. Caffenol-CL definitely is the better recipe for ISO 400 films.
In any case, so far the robotic agitator has been a success and I use it normally during the bleach and/or fixer stage. This is especially handy for the long fixing times of T-Max 400 and I can just do something else in the meantime instead of babysitting the development tank.
All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
RPX400 developed in Caffenol-CH.
With Chuck Norris instead of this little boy the picture would be quite a mess.
Imagine being so small that you always get dragged around by your neck …!
Very, very, very, very nice photos.
Thank you very very very very much liramusic 😀
