I made up for my downtime and shot two rolls both yesterday and today. The weather is warm, the city is teeming with tourists and so there is plenty of subject matter these days. Yesterday the Leica was my companion and today I shot a roll with the Rollei and another with the Canon Sureshot WP-1. You might have noticed that I haven’t shown you any Rollei shots in quite a while. The reason is that I actually shot mostly colour with it recently and I still have to develop all of that. Since I’m still struggling with uneven development with the Fuji chemicals I don’t want to risk these rolls at the moment, especially not the 10 rolls from Argentina. And the rest is even more complicated: There are 6 rolls of E6 already shot, all taken with the Rollei, but I still need to shoot 6 more so that I don’t waste any of the E6 chemicals. Now that it’s summer I’ll definitely have more of a chance to get through these ISO 200 and ISO 100 rolls though so it shouldn’t be long now to shoot the rest. However, there is still some patience needed until I finally solve these problems with unevenness!
As for today’s pictures: This was one of the last rolls of Double-X I had left and I decided to experiment with it a little. I developed it in Caffenol-CH with the help of my robotic agitator. Although it worked alright the results are definitely grainier than with Caffenol-CL. The latter is just the better recipe for high speed films even if the H in Caffenol actually stands for high speed.
All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
