As I already planned I took out my Rollei today and shot a roll in the park. I felt like I needed some peace and quiet and a bit of nature which is sorely lacking in this town. I think I miss all the trees of Buenos Aires, even though they made shooting a little more difficult at times. In comparison the streets around here look bare and the light is a lot more harsh as well.
And now for the complete opposite: Some pictures taken in the crowd during carnival. I like how they turned out, especially considering that I actually had a tough time shooting them. There is nothing quite as obnoxious as carnival music and crowds! Well, it had to be done at least once! I’m glad it’s over though and I certainly won’t be repeating the experience. Next year I will look for a less obnoxious place to photograph during carnival.
