Today I could have put my feet up and done nothing, since I finished developing and the last 4 rolls of C41 yesterday. I was finally done! Instead of slowing down though I edited some pictures and shot a roll with my Rollei. The roll was actually an impromptu experiment: I shot a roll of self-portraits with a tripod and a cable release. I winged it at ISO 1600 and f/8 just in lamp light. I also forgot to account for the too slow running slow times, so I was rather happy when the roll came out nicely. Basically a completely spontaneous ? times thumb experiment (with a too short cable release actually). Tomorrow I’ll scan the shots and see what I can make of it. They definitely look promising though!
And now for something completely unrelated: Some pictures from the colour roll I shot on New Year’s Eve. When I was thinking about how to rate the film I said to myself: Ah whatever, I just wing it at 3200! And that although I hadn’t even shot Cinestill at this high an ISO! I’m surprised about how nicely the results turned out. Yes, the darker ones are quite grainy, but it sure has character! One thing is for sure, with the Zorki this would have been pretty much impossible to get sharp. With the Leica I had no problems focussing! Thank you Nancy, every day I like you more!
