pain is inevitable

After an afternoon of shooting the carnival proceedings I have to say that the whole event is actually a mystery to me. I’m not from around here and so I never grew up with the tradition. To me it all seems very odd. I hope I got some good pictures though, so that I didn’t confront the slightly annoying sensation of culture shock for nothing. I made a start on my street portrait goal for this year as well and have to say that it was very easy. I didn’t even have to ask, because random people just started posing for me when I took out the Rollei!

By the way, I can’t remember when I posted my last bunch of digital pictures, but it’s actually been a while. I wanted to finish off the pictures from last year though and so I might as well post those few digital pictures I have left. I haven’t touched my digital camera in half a year, so these are going to be the last of them for a while. I’ll still have pictures left from last year when I’m back home, but they’re going to be mostly Leica pictures!

All pictures taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ASPH.

I might complain about autofocus a lot, but this one wouldn’t have been possible without it.

Don’t ask me what’s going on in this one … I don’t know either. I only know that the guy on the right wasn’t in any way related.

Different bunny from the one in the analog picture, in case you remember it.
