Berlin facepalm

I left my Canon DSLR with my dad last time I visited him – my luggage was too full of cameras and I thought I’d be coming that way before the move. In the end it didn’t work out that way, so my dad brought me my Canon when he came to Berlin in July. Since we were hanging around at the Strandbar across from the Bode Museum in the Monbijoupark I used the opportunity to take a few shots at the open air dance floor with my Canon. Remind me not to complain so much about the AF of the E-PL3. At least it doesn’t pretend it got the focus when it actually doesn’t have it. That’s what the Canon does. Of the ones that I thought were properly in focus actually none really were. It didn’t matter for all of them, but so much for using the Canon in low light.

Ok, I admit it, I’m bad at titles. However, I think the TV tower really makes the picture.

Slightly too tight, but it was getting sort of dark and so the less tight frames were out of focus.

This strange bike is actually to be driven by a group of people. It’s a strange one. The Bavarian thing is also odd … the only reason why you’d see such a thing in Berlin rather than in Bavaria is for the tourists who tend to think that German culture is Bavarian culture. It isn’t.

The boy was a bit sulky.

The focus is not where I hoped it would be, but almost.

I actually danced tango on this floor and it’s actually terrible. Very uneven, so lots of opportunity to trip.

Not sure what the bearded man was discussing with them but it seems he got a cup of coffee out of it.

A friend recently told me that people on the subway in Berlin look really unhappy in comparison to other places. He sure is right with this one.
