I like how the girl is just about to bite into the sausage. Also in Mitte. The architecture is too bleak for my liking. I guess it’s because I grew up in a similar concrete block.

Reminds me of my old schools. My schools in Chemnitz were all demolished, because they were so ugly and run down.

I spent yesterday morning with a really inspiring book: Street Photography Now by Sophie Howards and Stephen McLaren. It’s full of very different types of street photography from all over the world with descriptions of the photographers and short essays about different topics in street photography. I’m really enjoying it and it’s a good pointer towards researching different established as well as up and coming street photographers of different styles and from different places. I also edited pictures, like every morning and then I headed out to run an errand. I had to go to Mitte to get a stamp from my health insurance for my operation next Friday. It was rather uncomplicated and afterwards I walked around the area for a bit. Rather bleak, I have to say. It gave me some interesting things to photograph and later I also realised that the subway station Alexanderplatz is much bigger than I thought. Tons of opportunities to take pictures as well.

After I came home I felt a bit drained, because I took many pictures and so I relaxed the rest of the day. It felt like I had been really productive. Looking at the pictures from yesterday I’d say it was a successful trip to Mitte.
