No, I’m not pregnant. I was just at the airport rushing to the gate where the arrival of a plane was imminent. In passing I took this picture and I really like how it shows off the decay of previously thought to be futuristic structures. It stands in contrast to the previous picture, which shows what we think to look futuristic now. In 20-30 years the library of the future will look similarly outdated to us.

Comments

  • In combination with the library of the future is a good way to let us think about time, past, present and future.

    • I noticed the connection as well! I actually have a thing for futuristic architecture, especially Russian architecture after the revolution. I just saw an exhibition on that the other day and there were some nice pictures by Richard Pare of decaying futuristic structures. Very cool. Thanks for stopping by Robert 🙂

  • Faded glory…
    fascinating!
