Today I finally managed to get x-ray protector bags for our next trip to Argentina in December. They had been always out of stock, but now they’re finally on their way to me, together with some more 120 film. After a bit of back and forth I’ve decided to shoot colour again also during this trip. After all it’s easy to convert colour to bw, but quite impossible the other way round! It will also be summer and we’ll be in the countryside, so the ISO won’t be such a problem either this time. I still have plenty of Kodak Gold 200 and a bunch of Kodak Farbwelt 400 rolls for the Leica and I’m going with Portra for the Rollei. I’ll even be taking a 5pack of Portra 160 for kicks.
Did I mention that it will be summer? It will be the first summery Christmas and New Years for me. I can’t wait! I kinda like the notion of skipping the dreary attempts of shooting in autumn and winter and instead just throwing in a month of summer in the middle of winter. This way I can spend the rainy winter season with the development and don’t have to worry about keeping up with myself!
All pictures taken with: Leica M6, Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
Ilford HP5+ developed in Caffenol-CH, Jobo CPE-2.
Shocked look?
I might have blown the highlights a little on this one. This is the downside of machine development.
What a look?
I love this one.
If it weren’t for the guys in the background it would be almost timeless.
No idea what she was trying to explain, but it definitely involved some photogenic gesturing.
