By now I’m running out of T-Max 400 shots to show you and as you might suspect, I’m rather glad about that. The curve of this film in Caffenol just doesn’t do it for me, although it’s not quite as clinical as it might be in other developers. I’m not convinced and I’m generally not a big fan of fine grain film. Nevertheless it might actually turn out to be a promising film to push once I manage to figure out how to cut down on fog. The two rolls I’ve pushed so far were extremely fogged and were difficult to edit, but they were also exceptionally fine grained for ISO 1600. Next up in the black and white world will be a batch of HP5+ which has always been one of my favourites. In fact I like it so much that it might become my new standard if nothing more promising shows up. Right now I’m also testing it in medium format to see whether it’s equally nice.

More great photos! I don’t think I would have liked to have held that dog, looks quite heavy. My last dog Sunny loved books, well he loved tearing them up 🙂 We had to move all the books up high when he was a puppy as he used to pinch them.
