The other day I already thought that I was through with my batch of T-Max 400, but then I found another roll in my bag. And no, I wasn’t happy about that. Today I’ve shot it anyway so that I could finally get started on the HP5+. About time really, since I’m really not a big fan of T-Max and already know that I’m going to like the HP5+ more. With a whole 100ft roll to play with I will get to enjoy it for a while, before decide which emulsion to shoot next. For the next batch I have the choice between Fomapan 400, Delta 400, Orwo N74+ and Ilford Pan 400 out of which the least likely option is Delta 400. Since I’m not a big fan of T-Max 400 I doubt I’ll like Delta 400 much either since they’re both fine grain films. Orwo N74+ is probably the grainiest of the lot and Ilford Pan 400 is supposedly very much like Kentmere 400. At the moment I’m leaning towards Fomapan 400 for the next batch, but I might change my mind until I finish my current stash. I still have no clue which emulsion I’ll finally settle with, but then is there really a reason to choose?
