Bus journeys over here can be a bit of a drag. Yesterday we made sure to get on the bus before the rush hour and still spent an hour on it. It’s a very big city! However, they do think of photographers and you can open windows at eye level on many seats which meant that I spent some of the journey yesterday taking pictures from the bus. It’s an unusual perspective, so I’m not sure what the results will be like.
Today? Well, we decided to go to the zoo because it’s only about 10 blocks from here. I actually took a picture of a meerkat with my Rollei and hope it turned out! The rest, well zoos! Very quiet today, but I think I still got some nice pictures of typical zoo action. I also haven’t been to a zoo in ages and I had some fun looking at flightless birds … I have a thing for ñandus and ostriches, penguins and all that. I just find them endearing! And did I mention that one of the oddest animals is just roaming the grounds freely? It’s the Patagonian hare, which looks and behaves a little like a rabbit but isn’t a rabbit (just like the “ocean” that is a river and those gigantic”trees” that are really bushes).

Come along now!
Shooting at 1600 bright sunlight. I must have been at f/22 and 1/1000.
That hand!
I love the shoes under the bench.
Yes, that’s a chef in the middle of the street. I’ll explain it another time.
