One of my plans for this trip was to shoot some carnival pictures. It’s really not my kind of tradition and I find it rather strange, so I needed to force myself a little to go to an event that usually made me hide at home with a bunch of 50s sci fi films when I still lived around here. Well, today I really went for it and braved the crowds, the horrific music and well, everything else. I came back with 5 rolls, 4 cheap Fuji colour rolls shot with Nancy and one roll of Velvia 100 shot with the Rollei. Tomorrow I still have the parades to shoot and will probably blow the rest of my colour film on it. In any case, I have a headache now after all the terrible music and I sure hope that this self-inflicted torture was worth it in the end!
