After a couple of weeks of early starts I kinda know that title very well. The weather is so annoying and rainy that I hardly take any pictures either. It could be a good opportunity to catch up on developing, scanning and editing, but I hardly find the time or the energy. However, I still have some shots from previous rolls lined up, so I will show you these until I find the mind-space to edit some more. At least the effort with my language course is paying off, since I’m speaking much more fluently now. I’m still quite far away from “fluent” though. Luckily I still have two more weeks of the same lined up and hope that I can improve quite a bit in that time. By the way, I’m also using Duolingo to practice and I think it’s quite good actually.
Tomorrow another early start until it’s finally weekend. Normally I don’t mind much whether it’s a weekday or the weekend, but with all these early starts I’m definitely looking forward to some proper sleep.
All pictures taken with: Olympus XA, F.Zuiko 35mm f/2.8.
Tri-X, semi-stand in Caffenol-CL, 30min.
I had to scan this one twice because the Tri-X curl was giving me problems. In the end I used some light seal foam to push the ANR glass down, because the curl was stronger than the glass. I really like how it turned out!
No idea why they were in the water. I didn’t think this was common pigeon behaviour.
Looking down.
They seemed to be having a nice time.
XA night shots surprise me again and again. Not extremely sharp, but they have a nice quality to them.
