the doll

It’s been a roller coaster of a week and it would have been full even with half the things that happened. I guess the next few weeks will be similar as well and I probably won’t always have time to scan and edit pictures. I think I have given up the idea of catching up with the editing. It’s quite clearly impossible. Whenever I catch up with my digital I get behind with my film stuff and the other way round. I guess that’s just the way it is. As long as I don’t end up with 2500 undeveloped rolls of film like Garry Winogrand I think that’s ok. Scanning 35mm is clearly the biggest problem for me right now and eventually I will have to try to find a solution for that.

All pictures taken with: Rolleicord V, Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 75mm f/3.5.
Tri-X stand-developed in Rodinal 1:100, 60min.

This one turned out exactly how I wanted it to turn out.

I was worried that this wouldn’t turn out but actually there is quite a bit of shadow detail left.

Never trust. Just get a scanner.
The poor Winnogrand never had scanning problems but with you to do that rolls one can make a few world round trips

I have a scanner, and a good one as well. I just don’t have enough time to scan all the stuff that I shoot. Scanning 35mm on a flatbed scanner takes so long!

I like the first one very much. Its composition, the technique. And it simply illustrates the term ‘flea market’.
And: a good transition of the format from 35mm to mf.
And: scanning 35mm is a pain (on flatbed or film scanner)!
