Just as I promised yesterday I will continue with some pictures from an exceptionally successful day of shooting I had in Düsseldorf last month. These days I’m trying to post pictures every day, because I have a ton of pictures in the pipeline and keep shooting more. Although it’s a lot of work, it’s rewarding as well, especially when I find the occasional exceptional picture among my shots. These last few days were great photographically, I solved some longstanding problems with film development in Tetenal Ultrafin, got some great shots and I’ve been working on different projects as well.

All pictures taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ASPH.

Everyone seems happy, apart from the kids who look a bit puzzled.

I like the resonance between the couple holding hands in the foreground and the couple on top of the advertising pillar.

Escape from the bag monster. These were actually street performers who go through the hoops to hide the the trick behind their act. There was another one in the bag.

They were talking to this guy. Obviously the punk, not the indifferent guy with the burger chain food.

Everyday hero …! Well, at least he has a cape. (As a matter of fact it was a homeless guy with a blanket.)

I assume this was an unintentional hail.

Whatever he was burning, it didn’t seem very healthy and was giving off the distinctive smell of burnt plastic / toxic fumes. In black and white this wasn’t understandable.

I know the composition is slightly off, but remember, I shoot from the hip.
