These were taken in Berlin in December. I think I was on my way to the dentist and then went to buy something in the mall at Gesundbrunnen. Hard to remember after two months. In any case, it’s mainly material for my down below project. Who wants to be above the surface in those December temperatures anyway?
All pictures taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ASPH.
Drink dispenser? It says “How far up do you want to go today?” I used to be totally addicted to Red Bull by the way. Caffeine is too much for me nowadays though. Not to mention all the sugar in this one either! Oh wait, I just did.
“Does it go with my style?”
I approve of reading on the subway. These days one sees far too many phones and too few books.
I love how they all tilt their head in the exact same way. Unconscious social behaviour.
Coffee and cigarette moment. And a Yamaha cap.
Tape belt buckle. OMG how retro! Do you remember tapes?
Busted.
The girl on the left looks like a doll.
Wow, what a look! One.
Not sure whether they were twins. Not quite dressed twin style. If so, cool parents! I hate when parents make kids dress alike. Two.
Reindeer staring contest.
Without the coat the floor is too cold to sit. Makes total sense, right?
Descriptive jacket.
Strangers with exactly the same facial expression. You can imagine what the guy on the left was like. One.
That newspaper seems to be intending to take over the entire subway. Two.
He probably needed a visit to the dentist as well.
Next to the vitamin oasis. I occasionally buy my fruit there if I’m in a hurry. They have huge mutant apples that taste of nothing, really.
At the moment I’m actually editing analog stuff from my Memory project. So far I’m quite happy with the results, although I suspect that I might want to go back to take some more pictures. Of course by now I’ve also filled my editing queue with some pictures from San Sebastian and I also have a couple of rolls of film to develop. I wonder whether I’m ever going to catch up with this editing. At this rate it might still take a while and once I’m done with this bunch I get to edit the analog stuff I’m accumulating here in San Sebastian. It’s an endless struggle, isn’t it? Ah, remember those days when I was posting the pictures I took the day before? Those were the days! I’m sure by now you’re quite bored of my editing talk. Just like I’m bored with the endless necessity of it. The end is actually in sight though: 11 rolls of film and just a few days worth of digital stuff to go (+2 rolls to develop and 7 to scan).
“The girl on the left looks like a doll.”
The man behind her looks as if he’s seen a ghost.
Haha, maybe that explains her look! Best thing: The person hiding behind her. One can only guess from the additional foot.
