This time some pictures taken in Berlin in December. Yes, I’m posting all over the place, but I hope you don’t mind.
All pictures taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ASPH.
My Oly has the habit of focusing on the foreground. In most cases this is ok, but sometimes something like this happens. I like it anyway.
Normally I don’t find pictures of people with phones all that interesting, but in the case of very pretty girls I sometimes make an exception.
Impatience, plus a bit of a self-portrait.
I wasn’t quite sure on the composition here, so I kept trying. One.
Then this happened. Two.
Plantation memories? Anyone know what that is all about? I like the gameboy bag on the right as well.
Don’t cry …! No seriously, he was just rubbing his eye.
That’s a serious silly hat moment!
One girl with phone, maybe a little boring. Three girls with one phone? There might be something there …!
How about three people with three phones, a silly hat and a mesmerised stare? One.
Thanks for background focussing for once, Oly! Two.
I couldn’t quite figure out why I found this so interesting. I thought a little about it and realised: interesting face and a weird scarf and bag overlap situation. Three.
The train, definitely the train!
And here the hand. It really helps to think about why you like or don’t like a picture. You learn how to make it better next time.
By the way, the reason why I’m posting all over the place is not that I don’t have any recent pictures. I just haven’t edited them yet, because I was busy getting the editing from last year out of the way. I have now edited all the digital stuff, hooray! Now for the 14 rolls worth of film scans that I have left. I’m not sure how long this will take, but I definitely won’t spend too much time on them. None of the pictures will get printed from these scans, so quick and dirty should be enough.
Apart from the editing my days are full of photography generally. Currently I’m reading a book on photography and yesterday I also decided to brave the rain to shoot a roll of film. Today it also didn’t rain the entire day and we went for a little walk. I happened to have my camera with me, but I’m not quite sure yet how much there is to show for it, since it was already getting dark and the autofocus is pretty useless in low light. We’ll see. And then there is of course the other project I’m working on. I don’t want to talk about any details yet, but I’m definitely making good progress. There is still quite a bit of work to do before I can show it to you though.
