Yesterday I thought I’d take a picture at the airport, since I was going to meet Ezequiel there. This attempt kind of failed though. I had my camera, I even had another lens in my bag, but what I didn’t have was my SD card. Well, these things happen and I had to settle with taking pictures at home after Ezequiel arrived. He was typing an email and I just started taking pictures of him in less than optimal light. In the end I just took a picture of his hands and it made for a reasonably good black and white picture.
And speaking of typing: My dad participated in the National Novel Writing Month and he finished his 50.000 words! He can sure be proud of this achievement! The story he wrote he already told me years and years ago and finally he had some external motivation to write it down. If I’m not mistaken he already told me parts of this story on a holiday in Sweden, more than 10 years ago. In any case, well done dad!
Shame about forgetting your SD card, but I really like this picture — and Ezequiel’s typing on a Mac! Also, congratulations to your dad for doing NaNoWriMo and finishing the 50,000 words 🙂

I think this photograph turned out beautifully! I know you said the lighting wasn’t optimal, but I think you made a great, low-light and soft-focus composition. I love how the hands are lighter and outlined by thin black shadows because it provides great contrast against the black keys outlined in bright white. Just beautiful! Oh, and congrats to your dad! That’s pretty awesome 🙂
This is a beautiful photo, it turn out that forgetting the SD card gave you the chance for a great piece (this comes from my positive thinking). Hands can be an interesting subject.

I could type 50,00 words! They just wouldn’t be strung in any kind of order, nor would they make any sense, so congrats to him on a job well done!

@cfbookchick: I’m not sure it makes a lot of sense. 🙂 A few friends (1 in US, 1 in AU) are reading it at the moment, they’ll tell me, I hope.
But this blog is about Lilly and photography, so I’d like to say that I like that shot, too. Hands can tell us a lot about somebody.
