It gets dark early now and it feels like I hardly go out during daytime. I also catch myself taking pictures in passing, on the way home, on the way to tango, barely stopping to really consider the moment. I see, I shoot, I move on. Nevertheless I’m happy with the results. The pictures have the same feel for me as the days have, although I can’t quite describe how I really feel these days. Torn, confused between states of minds perhaps. I’m happy about the results of my degree – I got a distinction – and I’m also happy about going to tango regularly. At the same time I feel almost desperate, not sure what to do next, how to approach life and above all I feel like I’m not in control. It will pass. Like the moments where I hardly stop to even release the shutter.
Black and White is simply the best format for pictures of architecture like this. Great shot!
This is such a beautiful photograph. I really like the stark contrasts between the dark outside and the lighter interior. The tonality is great, ranging from black to white. The symmetric composition adds to the picture and enhances the stillness and mood of the subject.
I am in total agreement with the above comment!
As for what to do… sit quietly until you know which path to take. Being quiet is a challenge.
It won’t be long before the dark begins to be shorter.

this is beautifully composed and using monochrome has put the emphasis on the different tones of light (and dark)

I think I know the feeling you’re having.. about being desparate and ‘hardly stopping to even release the shutter”.. I think it’ll be best to take a break for a few days and rest. Meanwhile you can take a look at your archives and find some more meaningful images and post them.. you don’t have to post a new image every day I guess,,

I too get burnout from pictures and everything just looks the same, but if you don’t always carry your camera, you can miss some great shots. I love b&w photos and this one is just perfect.

Love the perspective and symmetry…you were definitely in control of your camera for this shot. As for being in control of life…that’s an oxymoron…it doesn’t happen and if you think you are in control, it is just an illusion, helping you to cope. Just put one foot in front of the other and soon you will feel more settled and the confusion will pass.
