Berlin loves you

Instead of posting my usual kind of pictures I would like to post pictures from an experiment performed last year. I wanted to try how destroying film would affect the pictures, since a bit of destruction can actually create quite some atmosphere as well. I was planning to use the effect in one of my projects. I guess in this case I went a bit overboard with the destruction. Boiling the film for 5 minutes was too much and there was hardly any emulsion left. Clearly a case for my “beautiful failures” category. Next time I’ll start with one minute.

All pictures taken with: Zorki 3C and Jupiter 12 35mm f/2.8.
Kentmere 400 boiled for 5min, semi-stand developed in Rodinal 1:100.
