The amazing and quite unbelievable truth is that I’m done with my Argentina pictures. I have now developed, scanned and edited all 53 rolls! I originally hoped that all of this would only take me 2 months, but in the end it took me almost 5. It never goes quite as planned. However, at least I have managed to stay on top of developing the more recent rolls in the meantime and I have also honed my C41 process to such an extent that I can get predictable results now. I would definitely call that progress! I still have 5 rolls of C41 film that I can process in this last litre of my Fuji Hunt kit and then I will have to wait until I collect enough C41 again to warrant mixing up the batch of Tetenal C41 chemicals I have left. I have also decided to wait until I have 15 rolls to process in my E6 chemicals in the hopes that the E6 kit also has a bit more capacity than is recommended by the leaflet. So, in the end I still need to shoot 2 more rolls before I can start on this new adventure. With my Argentina pictures I can already see that all the work and experimentation with C41 has definitely paid off. Among the pictures there is a whole bunch that just wouldn’t have worked so well in black and white. I’m now curious to see whether E6 can add another dimension to this experimentation with colour.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6, Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.

Since dogs are not allowed on the beaches, the harbour is where they go in.
