Sometimes when I experiment things go wrong. At times they even go horribly wrong. In this case it wasn’t so bad although there was a minor mistake involved, I forgot to add potassium bromide to my Caffenol-CH mix and all of a sudden was developing a high speed film in a recipe that is meant for low speed film. The result was very fogged, but surprisingly not bad at all. It obviously turned out quite a bit more grainy than Caffenol-CH and substantially more grainy than Caffenol-CL, but I wouldn’t say that I’m disappointed. It reminds me a bit of RPX400 shot at 1600 and developed in Rodinal. Not quite what I was going for, but well, I don’t mind a little grit sometimes.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
RPX400 developed in Caffenol-CM.
