Yesterday we went to Prenzlauer Berg to get a film developed. For the last 3 films I was using a cheap lab, which is fine for starting out, but I was quite annoyed about how they cut my negatives. Since black and white films are more expensive to develop in that cheap lab anyway, I decided that I could just as well spend a euro more and bring my films to a good lab instead. Eventually I will learn how to develop the film myself, so I think this is only a temporary solution anyway.

I think it has developed into a habit to post a picture taken with my Zorki whenever I go out with that camera on the day before. This time I show you another one from the flea market at Boxhagener Platz taken a few weeks back. These two guys spent quite a while looking at a map of the Middle East. I agree with them: maps are fascinating. However, geography is one of the few subjects I actually failed in school. I’m just no good at remembering where rivers are on blank maps. In fact I don’t remember much more from the geography lessons. Maybe at some point I had to learn by heart how mountains formed or what kind of soil happened to be the best in my particular German federal state, but I don’t remember any specifics. As soon as I could drop the subject I did.
