Your favourites – Part 1

My friends, I need your help! Don’t worry, it’s nothing serious and you don’t have to do much, but I actually would really really appreciate some participation on your side for this one. I’m trying to make a selection of the best pictures I took during these last 11 months and it’s so difficult! The reason is that I would like to print some of them nice and big, but if I wanted to print all the ones I really like it would just get too expensive. OK, I’ve narrowed the choices down, which wasn’t that hard for some months, but as always when choosing the single best image I feel that I can hardly be objective. You’re always emotionally invested in your pictures and then it clouds your judgement. So, I have decided to make a series of polls, one for each of the last 11 months and see which ones you like best. I’m also doing this in preparation for a final best-picture-of-the-year-poll. I actually would really like to see the result of that, since I’m often quite surprised about which posts get the most likes and comments. Thank you for participating!

  • I chose the last one. I like the people. 🙂

    • Thank you cocomino! I appreciate your help. For me it’s a real tie, I love all 3 pictures equally!

  • Brilliant selection and tough decision. I would have voted for the second one but from the point of technical perspective the first image pulls me away from other common subjects.

    • Thanks Mani! It’s so difficult for me to choose. I like the first because it has so much depth and emotionally I’m very attached to that one. The second one came out fantastically straight out of the camera and I really liked it straight away. The third one was such a lucky shot as well and I learned a lot by processing all the little details. All three of them have such a strong meaning for me that it’s really hard to choose.

      • Happy to hear about those feelings. Atleast I have my full attachment to the first one 🙂

        Cheers

  • I like very much the light in the doors photo, but having to choice I for sure prefer the last one because of the “story” in it and the boys are really alive.

  • But choosing between your images is a very serious task, Ms. S…
I’m not sure I’d be able to do that!
