The guys from Einstürzende Neubauten – one of my favourite bands – don’t like stucco. They once played a gig in a squat somewhere and got really annoyed with the stucco on the walls and ceilings. Since they used to use a lot of building equipment for their concerts (for the sound, obviously) they started to redecorate mid-concert, which didn’t go down very well with the squatters. The squatters basically confiscated the specific equipment they used to take down the stucco and never returned it.
Well, there is some fake stucco on the ceilings here, which I actually quite like. However, if the Einstürzende Neubauten wanted to redecorate, I wouldn’t actually mind that at all. I’m a rather tolerant person when it comes to these kind of things.

Ah, thanks! Even when we moved in I knew that there was a picture opportunity there, but only with that crop it actually looked remotely interesting.
