On Monday I was on the way to a tango class with Leandro and Gaia when I took this picture. All day long I felt uninspired to take pictures and I had a long driving lesson which took me all the way to the Olympia Stadium to practice emergency breaking. The Stadium looked like a great place to take pictures, but obviously there was no time for that. How frustrating to finally find something to take pictures of and then to just have to drive all the way back without any opportunity. In the end I took my camera to the tango class, because I knew that there is usually something interesting to take pictures of in the subway. The picture shows the reflection of the interior in the window. The carriage was almost empty and there was a strange mood in the air. It felt a bit dark, lonely travellers staring blankly at the empty space in front of them and my attempts at looking out into the tunnel were futile without any illumination outside. Looking out the window I felt always drawn back to the woman sitting on the other side, because there was just blackness behind those windows.
Nice!
I don’t know what it is about this photo, but I really am attracted to it. The woman is perfectly framed by the elements and the blur in your photo. Guess she was photographed without really being photographed as your photo is of the reflection in the window.
