droplets © Lilly Schwartz 2011
Every now and then I don’t really feel like going outside all day long and end up taking pictures of fruit or things I have lying around here. In an attempt to take a picture of a kaki fruit I managed to accidentally get droplets of its juice on the touchpad of my laptop. Generally this isn’t such a good idea, but with a laptop with unibody aluminum casing a few droplets don’t really pose a threat. I took it as a photo opportunity since kaki fruits are not really photogenic after all, at least when it comes to macro photos. I like how the droplets look almost abstract with the shallow depth of field and the strange texture of the aluminum.
I really like the different colors and sizes. Nicely seen!
Yeah, for droplets on computers! 🙂 I love the textures here, along with the DOF. Great image! 🙂
interesting…nice work
Great photograph Lilly! It’s good to see photo opportunities in the smallest of things.
Very cool image!!!
The dimensional quality of those droplets really comes through…have never heard of that fruit…
If I had tried to guess, I would have said it looks very much like olive oil on a teflon-coated pan. Very interesting coincidence that these two VERY different things would look so similar.
