After many months of shooting almost daily I find myself in a position where I can’t seem to shoot much. I guess I need to just be patient and wait for the circumstances to improve to be able to get back into my usual rhythm. Right now I’m definitely taking it easy to allow for my health to improve, since in just a couple of months we will be in Argentina and I definitely want to be better by then. This year I’ve already shot a lot and got some great results, so it’s fine to take a break from the hamster wheel of shooting and developing. Time to take a breath, look around and prepare some longer term projects.

The first image is a clear favorite for me. It’s great to see a girl enjoying dressing in full kit like that; and it’s sad that it’s rare across much of the western world. I also love her pose, turned in mid-step; and the shared eyeline of mother and daughter to whatever it is in her mothers hand. Beautiful.

All photographers have outside pressures and off days. Don’t be too hard on your body, it’s doing its best to keep up!
