the ultimate cinematic experience

Sometimes the most random things happen – like going to the beach and stumbling into an open air milonga on the promenade. I was rather happy that I still had some shots left on my second roll for today, since I really wasn’t quite expecting to take tango pictures at the beach. Although it might seem somewhat random it’s quite fitting actually, because earlier today we started the preparations for our next trip to Argentina in December. I will get another month of summer in the middle of winter, if that makes any sense at all! I hope until then I will finally have finished the pictures from our last trip there, since it’s really turning into one of those never-ending stories. I was meant to finish these in May and now it’s already August. I hope this month will mark the end of this saga though.

Last night I made a final test run to make sure that also the 120 film I shot in Argentina will be developed perfectly. I developed a roll of Portra 400 in 120 that I shot a few days ago just to make sure and by the look of it I won’t run into any more problems. I’m currently on my 3rd litre of the Fuji Hunt chemicals and I should have just enough left to finish all the rolls I have left from our previous trip to Argentina. Since I also continue to shoot colour now I’ll probably need still more C41 chemicals after I’m through with the 5L kit. Who would have thought that I’d shoot so much colour now considering that I didn’t shoot any until October last year. Although I’m still not convinced that it’s the right thing for my street photography, I will continue to experiment and see what happens.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6, Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
Kodak Vision 3 250D developed in Fuji Hunt C41 Kit, Jobo CPE-2.

No idea what this orange stuff is, but it’s rather photogenic on colour film.

Somehow he reminds me of Super Mario! Just missing the red cap …

I think this actually works better in colour than it would in black and white. Strange … I never think that.

OK, OK, I admit it, I was slightly too close for my zone.
