delicious fingers

Since yesterday I have developed 2 batches of film with the help of my new Jobo CPE-2. The first batch had pretty much sky in every picture and they turned out perfectly. I think I can safely process all my remaining Argentina pictures now without having to worry about unevenness. The process is also a lot less annoying and probably even healthier since I don’t have to run the C41 in the kitchen anymore. The timing also couldn’t be better, because the other day it was so warm that it was difficult to develop the black and white at 20°C. The temperature was just rising too quickly for stand-development. Perfect for C41 actually. Of course the CPE-2 will make my experiments with E6 a lot easier and might even prove to be an efficient solution for developing black and white in the long run. A big yay for automation! Although I like to experiment with development and will probably continue with my Caffenol experiments for a while, at times I feel like it makes me concentrate too much on pesky technical stuff rather than on the picture taking itself. And in the end it’s about the pictures, isn’t it?

All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
Double-X @400 developed in Caffenol-CH.
