the revolutionary

Today I wasn’t feeling so well, so I used the opportunity to edit some of the pictures from my last trip. I usually wait a while after developing to edit my pictures so that I can gain a little distance from them. And then after editing I wait even longer to post them, since I’m always months behind on that anyway. This way I always have a bit of buffer for pictures to post here and I don’t have to edit every day. However, with these pictures from our trip in April I make an exception though, because I’m actually way behind on even developing them. It’s been months and I still have quite a number of rolls from that trip to develop, so I post them quite soon after I develop and edit them. Since I can’t remember what’s on these rolls anyway, the distance is already there before I even put them in the developing tank. All I have to go on is a rather vague description of the place where the pictures were taken and sometimes I can’t quite place where I took some of the pictures anyway. In the end I just develop them in order so as not to disorient myself too much. I’m rather curious to see some pictures that I still remember, but then others I completely forgot altogether and I have nice surprises. Nevertheless it is sometimes difficult to be patient when I normally get to see the pictures within a week after taking them.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
dm Paradies 400 developed in Fuji Hunt C41 Kit.
