enjoying the wind

Last night I almost ruined a roll of film shot on a recent trip. It would have been bitter, because there are actually some cool shots on this one. What happened was that I actually forgot to put the lid of the developing tank into the changing bag and found myself with an open tank after already putting the film onto the spool. In the end I turned the tank upside down, manoeuvred the changing bag under a pillow and ran for the lid, which was even in another room. Well, that’s why you shouldn’t develop film when it’s late and you’re tired! I thought I already made most of the silly mistakes one can make when developing film, but forgetting the lid is probably the silliest I had so far. I should really start to double check everything …

On another film related note: Please check out both the Ferrania Kickstarter and the CineStill 120 Kickstarter. Both are efforts to bring new films onto the market and are worth supporting.
