the keeper

The test roll I shot with my Rolleicord V is a testament to the usefulness of reading manuals. First of all I lost 3 frames, because I didn’t load the film correctly. I forgot to line up the arrows with the red dots on the back. I also shot with the double exposure lock disengaged, because I didn’t even know that the Rolleicord V had one. And then of course focussing with an unfamiliar focussing system and a lens with a narrow depth of field at f/8 is rather difficult anyway. Patience would have solved all of those problems. In any case, don’t expect much. Although these look promising already, it was just a test roll. The results from the next roll will probably be better, but I haven’t developed that one yet.

All pictures apart from the last one taken with: Rolleicord V, Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 75mm f/3.5.
Tri-X stand-developed in Rodinal 1:100, 60min.

Accidental double exposure visible on the fence. Do you see drawers? Well, those are the kitchen drawers in a rather funny shot I missed thanks to the disengaged double exposure lock. It would have been a very thin neg anyway, but maybe there would have been something there. I already ordered a lens hood by the way, although I think the flare is fairly ok for pointing the camera right in the direction of the sun.

This would be great if it was focussed correctly.

I met up with my friend Damien to repair my Yashica Electro 35 cc. He was complaining that he tends to make accidental double exposures with his Rolleicord III, which doesn’t have a double exposure lock. Irony dictates the outcome of the next two shots. Both would have been nice if only the double exposure lock had been engaged.

Testing what the cord can do at f/8. Nice bokeh and quite sharp.

Damien and his tomato plants. I think the hero pose is quite appropriate, since I wouldn’t have managed to repair the Yashica without his help. Quite difficult shot with the back light, but I think it’s actually the best one on the roll.

Last one taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 20mm f/1.7 ASPH.

Isn’t it beautiful? I definitely need to take a self-portrait with it!

Netter Typ, gute Preise.
Und v700 ist natürlich auch was feines. Der Vergleich von Tri-X gescannt mit dem v330 und dem v700 ist auch krass. Beim v330 sieht das Korn derartig hässlich aus! Ich denke also, es wird beides sein.
