All pictures taken with: Olympus Pen E-PL3 and Panasonic Lumix 14mm f/2.5.

Today was a thoroughly photographic day. In the morning I was looking at the blog of the Austrian photographer Severin Koller and I was so impressed with his work that I spent a couple of hours looking at his older posts. The one thing I enjoyed the most was the subtle humour of his pictures. They rarely made me laugh out loud, but I couldn’t help chuckling every now and then about one detail or another. And while I was looking at his work, promptly another analog camera landed on my wish list: the Konika Hexar. The quality of the lens is pure awesomeness!

Speaking of lenses, these are the first pictures I’m posting that were taken with my new 14mm lens. Contrasty, sharp and wide. Let me just say it out loud: I love this lens already! The lens is so wide that I still underestimate how close I need to get. I think I’ll keep this one on my Olympus for at least a month to get used to it. In the afternoon I also took it out for a spin, so there’s going to be more to show.

Oh, and speaking of analog photography, I filled my very last roll of HP5+ today too. Tomorrow the last two of them will go in the developing tank and have a little rendezvous with some Tetenal Ultrafin. Now that I ran out of HP5+ I’m afraid I’ll stick with Kentmere 400 for a while, since it’s just the more economical choice. I’m curious as to how K400 and Ultrafin are going to play out together.

Thanks Robert! San Sebastian is a beautiful place. Nice beach, great food, beautiful countryside. I’m quite looking forward to moving here this year. You can see more pictures from San Sebastian if you click on the tag below the post. There are some beach vistas somewhere among the street pictures as well.
