pre-twirl

After setting up Paco the other day I would have liked to make a start at the 30+ rolls of film that I still have lying around to be scanned. However, my health had other ideas and I came down with the flu instead. Obviously that’s no state to be sitting at a desk feeding filmstrips into a scanner, so I’ve been spending my time in bed with chicken soup and copious amounts of tea. I was bored though and that’s why I decided to edit some shots from a roll that I scanned on Sunday.

If I remember correctly this was a roll where I screwed up the development by forgetting to push although I metered it at 1600. As you can see this stuff was holding up pretty nicely despite my mistake. And I do love the colours Paco came up with. The shots taken under tungsten lighting might profit from some further colour correction, but that is a headache even without being sick, so I decided to skip it for now.

He was running around playing. I think he looks like a ballet dancer about to twirl!

I can’t resist self-portraits sometimes.

I like candids like these.

This one kicked up some grain, but this is actually how I expected all the shots to turn out with correct development. I was really pleasantly surprised by this lot.

Twins? Nice that they’re not dressing up in the same clothes.
