I was debating whether to post all New Year’s Eve pictures together or split them into rolls. The problem solved itself since I still haven’t developed all the rolls from that particular trip and this is the oldest roll left to post. I’ll just show you the ones I have so far and post the rest when I’ll have developed all my remaining colour film. By the way, I’m making good progress on my development. I have developed 4 of the rolls from Carnival today and there are only 8 rolls of C41 left. Wait, didn’t I say I started out with 13 rolls? How did I end up with an even number then? Well, the added roll happened today when I shot my last roll of XP2 in my XA. We were out running errands and I really felt like I needed to shoot a couple of rolls to get back into the swing of things. After a month of not shooting, mainly due to being completely off kilter thanks to the flu, I still felt like I needed to take it slow and this is why I took out the XA rather than the Leica. In the end I shot 2 rolls of film, the second being a roll of Double-X. Well, those 2 new rolls explain why I developed 4 rolls today. I just wanted to feel like I’m progressing.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
RPX400 @3200 stand-developed in Rodinal 1:100, 120min.

Yes, I always think of brushing my hair in the snow on New Year’s Eve too! Wait, no I don’t.

It was very misty and uncomfortably cold.

And now for something completely creepy:

This is a plaster mask of my face made when I was 13 and at 2 or 3 AM of the New Year I felt like playing with it. It still fits by the way! I love how the double Kinski in the background adds to the picture, just like all the lines from the doors, mirrors and frames everywhere.

OH! Lilly, how you like to surprise us.

    • Sorry, I hope I didn’t startle you too much there 😉

It was in a nice way.

        • Hah, that’s good, I thought maybe the self-portrait might have been too creepy maybe 😉
