getting jumped

As always, if you have questions, objections, worries or praise, and especially if you found your picture and want it removed, feel free to contact me. I will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also read my full disclaimer, if you are interested.

Today I took my Rollei to the local cemetery and shot a roll of Velvia 100 with it. Alone from that you can already conclude that it was a very sunny day. It’s the second roll of slide film that I shot with the Rollei and I’m really very curious how they turned out. The Rollei doesn’t have a light meter, so I use an external Gossen meter that I got specifically for this purpose, because slide film doesn’t have a lot of latitude. I’d really like to know whether I’m exposing the rolls correctly, but I will have to wait until I’m through with at least half my E6 rolls, so that I don’t waste my E6 kit. By the way, unlike Nancy my Rollei doesn’t have a name – Rollei sounds so nice, that I just go with that. And in case you didn’t know: I like my Rollei a lot! I’ll definitely post some Rollei shots in a couple of days.

Now that the weekend is over I will have to go to my language course again in the morning. I’m sure a lot of my posts this week will focus on my tiredness again. I’m just not a morning person at all. Two weeks of the course to go and then I will travel to Germany for 1 1/2 weeks to do paperwork and shoot the carnival season a bit. Not sure whether I’m really looking forward to the latter, after all I always found carnival rather horrific and used to hide from it at home with a bunch of 1950s SciFi movies. However, it’s just a great photo opportunity and think I have to shoot it at least once.

Today another roll taken in my XA – I think I’ll reach the Leica shots next week. However, this one is special, because it was taken on Orwo N74+, another one of those cine films that I like. This one I also like a little more in Caffenol, but already in Rodinal it’s quite nice. Sometime this year I will buy a 100ft roll of this stuff for sure and try around with it a little more! First some Double-X though.

All pictures taken with: Olympus XA, F.Zuiko 35mm f/2.8.
Orwo N74+ stand-developed in Rodinal 1:100, 60min.

It apparently needs an overseer for this kind of work.
