These last few days I’ve been extremely tired and needed a break. This year I have been travelling a lot, Düsseldorf in February, Argentina in April, Barcelona in May and just a week afterwards this last trip to Dresden. Frankly, I’m exhausted and I could do with a holiday! However, I have so many things to do that taking a proper break would leave me somewhat stranded. Instead I just took a break from everything but the photography and I think it helped at least a little. I still feel somewhat tired and ill, but that’s unsurprising when I consider my health in general. It’s actually quite amazing that I managed so much travel at all! I definitely have to slow down for a few months now to recover.

After using the last few days to develop and scan most of the film that I brought back from my last trip I’m still nowhere near catching up on my rolls from Argentina. In total I still have 40 rolls to develop and obviously keep shooting more, but I guess it’s only a matter of time since I always shoot less when I’m home. Along with this last batch I also finished off the first litre of my 5L Fuji Hunt C41 Kit. This kit is definitely harder to handle than the Tetenal kit. With the latter the agitation didn’t really matter that much and I got good results even without inversions. No such luck with the Fuji Hunt kit! Here I need to invert to get even results and I still don’t know whether this works consistently. I guess the Fuji Hunt kit might be a good kit for a Jobo CPE-2, but with my kitchen sink development it’s not quite as straight forward as the Tetenal kit. As always the unevenness is only a problem in pictures with a lot of sky and I guess with 4 more litres of this stuff I will have plenty of opportunity to figure out how to work around it.
