difficult couple

It’s not always easy to keep up with my shooting habits. I shoot one or two rolls a day and if I want to keep it up I need to develop as many rolls as well. With my new Jobo tank I can now do 5 rolls in one go, which will probably help in my battle against the slippery slope to Winogrand land. However I have to say that developing and scanning 5 rolls in one day is overly ambitious. The most likely scenario is one where I develop one day and scan the next until I finally run out of rolls to process. I’m still many rolls away from this goal and once I finish all my colour rolls I probably have enough black and white to keep me busy for a while longer once it cools down a bit. I only have one roll of HP5+ left now, but I have already spooled the whole 100ft roll of Fomapan 400 that is waiting to be tested next. I’m curious to see how it handles, especially considering that it’s one of the cheap emulsions. If it’s anything like my good old Kentmere I won’t have to worry about this next batch at all. Kentmere can definitely hold its own against some of the more expensive stuff, so I also have high hopes for the cheap Fomapan. I won’t know until the temperatures cool down enough to make the water temperature a bit more manageable though.

Everyone needs a lizard preserved in formaldehyde in their bathroom, don’t you think?

That’s one way to make sure you find your glasses! (No, not my glasses, but yes, I’m too blind to find my glasses without my glasses.)
