danger

I wouldn’t have believed it possible considering that I still don’t read that much in Spanish, but I just love the bookshops around here! I can spend a long while browsing through them and it’s almost impossible to get out of a bookshop without buying a book. The same can’t be said for the bookshops back home where I get desperately bored after 2 minutes browsing and always find myself pulling faces after picking up another boring book from a shelf. Around here I find the books just so much more interesting! No wonder then that I had a good time walking around at the book fair today and wasn’t bored at all! In fact we found a few amazingly interesting books and I’m very much looking forward to reading them.

It’s a shame that we have just a few more days left in this amazing city and although I would gladly stay longer, it’s probably better that we are going back home. There are two reasons: 1. If we stayed any longer we’d have to start a library here with all the books we have been buying and 2. I’m running out of film and would also like to see some results at some point. But then … would a library in Buenos Aires be so bad? And didn’t Garry Winogrand wait at least a year before processing his film?

I so need a yellow filter for my Rollei! The final version of this will be 2:3, I think.
