careful with that one

After almost a month I still haven’t managed to start developing the colour rolls I brought back from Argentina. However, I finally got my Fuji colour chemicals now and will probably mix them up tomorrow. I have already shot a test roll today for the first batch and if all goes well I can start developing a proper batch right afterwards. That said, the instructions of the Fuji chemicals look rather intimidating. It seems quite a bit more difficult to mix than the Tetenal chemicals.

The pictures I’m showing you today were taken at the beginning of the month. I have to say that I’ll miss Double-X, now that I’ve run out! If it wasn’t so expensive this could easily be my favourite film.

All pictures taken with: Leica M6 + Zeiss ZM C-Biogon 35mm f/2.8.
Double-X @400 stand-developed in Caffenol-CL.

I bought 3 cassettes of 5222 and think I love it altho’ I’m, obviously, just into the early part of the learning curve. I shoot a lot of static “models” (old buildings mostly) and am even experiment with 5363. Thanks again for your work, as well as your comments about the 5222.

    • I’m a big fan of the 5222 and if it was easier to get it would probably be my standard film. It’s just as beautiful as Tri-X but without that infuriating curl. What is the 5363 like?
